Kevin Barahona

On Saturday, January 10th, 2026, at approximately 08:15am, 11 year old Kevin Barahona was involved in a motorized scooter incident that caused a major brain bleed and severe trauma. Kevin sustained serious head and facial injuries, a right collapsed lung, internal bleeding, and a fractured right wrist. Doctors had to place a drain from his brain to relieve pressure.

Kevin is a loving, respectful, energetic child who lights up every room he enters. Seeing him in the hospital like this has been devastating for family, friends, and anyone who knows him.

Kevin’s mother, Regina, is a single mother and self employed. It has just been the two of them for a long time. Regina has been by Kevin’s side around the clock and is unable to work at the moment. The family is facing mounting medical expenses, daily living costs while Regina remains at the hospital, travel and lodging for appointments and specialists, and when Kevin is able - the significant costs of rehabilitation and physical therapy.

We are trying to raise funds to help cover immediate and ongoing medical bills, support Regina with living expenses while she stays with Kevin, cover travel, parking and lodging, pay for future rehabilitation, therapy, and necessary medical equipment.

How you can help: donate what you can - every dollar helps. Share this foundation with friends, share, or a prayer. Your support will let Regina focus on what matters most: being with her son and helping him through the long road to recovery.
